TML Radio: Sabbath Sessions, Vol. 12

  Mizo and I linked up one mo' gin! As the end of the year approaches and we start contemplating the best sounds we heard this year (many documented right here, crazy to think we have been at this Sunday vibes thing for over three months now!) we knew it was time to lay down one more pure Jazz sesh. Given that one volume of our best of the year mixes will be entirely Jazz we figured this round would be best served to touch base on older sounds of this improvised social music we both love. We open with a Cannonball Adderley and David Axelrod jam espousing the traits of a Gemini over an atmospheric groove. As it plays along you will see some familiar names from the past and the more recent scene. Mizo dropped in a Freddie Hubbard jam and the tunes spoke to me in a way that I couldn't refuse an Irreversible Entanglements tune from their debut I recently swooped from IA's bandcamp.
