Kicking your Sunday off with another round of the Sabbath Sessions! Mizo & I laid this down in our usual manner, free of preconception or concern with anything other than quality tunes inspired by what was played previously. The themes present include an over arching presence of soul captured in an assortment of textures. My rap mix from earlier this week was still in my head and I kicked it off with some vintage Strong Arm Steady gang, Mizo snuck in a tune from a friend of his in PDX. Along the way you will hear a few guitar centric jams, electronic smokiness, a gospel tune, and more random sounds all tied together in the name of auditory adventurism. Walk with us y'all!

Back at it again! Just as the temperature in my room began to drop in my room I found some inspiration to lay down a strictly hiphop set. I kicked it off with Murs and Aesop Rock "Happy Pills" - a song that I still love even if I don't indulge in them any more. As per usual I didn't know where I was going, things got a lil rough as I found my groove I slipped into a West Coast run of funky jams, some of which I hadn't heard in years. As the sounds flowed I kept moving and groovin with whatever felt right. Which led me to Dilla & Guilty, Cousin Stizz and Seattle spitter Porter Ray for some spaced out philosophy on life. About half way through the Royce & Westside Gun tune I knew it was the perfect track to let this round of TML Radio close out with.  Even though I find myself surrounded by more and more out there sounds I will always live by the Primo motto "I fiend for hiphop everyday" which birthed this mix. With the end of the year rapidly approaching, I had to weigh in on a couple more producer comps the year has seen released. With strong showings from both Jake One and Statik Selektah you would think we had been blessed with enough heat from the always on their gind underground beatmakers, but instead we have also been blessed with two from west coast legends DJ Revolution and DJ Babu. Babu dropped the third volume of his Duck Season joint filled with his dusty brand of funky and thumping Hip Hop tracks. The Beat Junkies/Dilated Peoples representative digs deep pulling a number of fresh and unknown samples out of his crates and sets them up with hard drums and a great assortment of guest emcees. Opening with his crew for a quick burst of energy to get you into the mood Duck Season 3 knocks from the start.
