Thank you, thank you, thank you for tuning in once more to this weeks grab bag Sabbath Sessions mix! Our friend, musician, beat maker and recently converted vinyl addict YAKOOB! swang through the lounge with a few gems out of his collection and jumped into the mix with us! He kicked it off on a vibey jazz tip, before we travel through our usual disparate sounds.   Happy Sunday y’all! Mizo & I connecting once more live and direct from the lounge for another session to ease the end of your weekend too. This week we veered into some different zones, opening with a rock sequence and keeping that theme sporadically placed throughout the set. Of course we touch on some of our usual grooves as well between the random electronic sounds that act as perfect transition points, a touch of jazz (for all our social music fans out there don’t worry, we just saving sounds for next weeks all jazz jam), as well as some rap and soul grooves sprinkled in there for you ear expansion. As we traverse this last year of strange and chaotic times, these sounds we mash up have captured our feelings, our weather and our hope. Happy birthday to Mizo! To celebrate he is tied up moving and couldn't make it into the lounge for a mix this weekend. So LyDZ slid through with her phone and we went track for track with me on the wax. As is usual around here we cover a lot of ground kicking it off with T.I. & BG (Free the man!) and before it's over you've got some soul, some alt rock, Donny Hathaway, Khruangbin, Lifesavas, and more. The sound waves are fun and vibrant with just the right level of turnt up-ness for whatever your Sunday has in store for you.
