Music is always better in the whip. While I have long considered CDs dead I found myself with a bind full of joints itching to be listened too. Upon picking up a commute for work I found myself really digesting these random tunes and even going back into time and burning new ones. Enter my review series Tunes From the Whip .

As per usual this week is a genuine grab bag of sounds running the gamut of our crates. You will catch the usual vibes in the form of abstract electronic, funk, jazz, rap, soul from around the globe. It’s all meant to be a nice stew of auditory bliss, sometimes going exactly where it seems it should and sometimes hitting that sharp turn and blasting your mind to another zone. And just like that it's been another week. Keeping in the groove of delivering a Jazz mix every six episodes, Mizo & I laid this one down with that in mind. Of course we couldn't quite stay in a box so we stretch the meaning of the word, but hey what's a genre? We brought in hints of funk, soul and grooves that certainly play into the vibes of everything else going on here. It's quite a journey with a nice blend of old and new. The goal is always to just deliver you with a perfect soundtrack to your Sunday afternoon, so pour up a another cup of coffee, grab a good book and relax while these sounds enshrine you in gorgeousness.
