The Musik Lounge

As we settle into the new three hour groove I continue to explore the room it provides for sonic expansion, be it longer tunes, more tunes, or guests! We shall see how it continues to evolve. This week The Homie Siah pulled up and in his usual mysterious fashion stayed off the mic but blessed me with many links to some tunes that have been rattling his world lately. Whenever Mizo & I get back into the lounge after an extended time away it always feels good to lay down some sounds and see where this sonic journey we have undertaken brings us. This week's edition is no different as we kept the vibes mostly deep, meditative with tributes to musicians gone and sounds of days past, playing with how these grooves might grow and flourish in the context of today's sonic happenings. It’s as if a trance fell upon us and we were no longer conscious of our process, just allowing the tunes to speak through the speakers. Kick back, relax, and travel with us.   Last weekend Mizo & I both moved our collections, he to a new residence and me from a storage locker in PDX up here to Tacoma! All we we have been communicating about how excited we were to have a clearer view of our collections, the surprises found that were forgotten about and what kind of adventure this edition would have in store. I might be biased but I think we definetly evolved here. For all the past episodes vast array of sounds, this go round found us striking some untouched acoustics, continuing what we like to view as a conversation via music.
